Mrs. Diosdado graduated from California State University, Northridge with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with a concentration in ESL. She cleared her Multiple Subject Credential at California State University, Northridge.
Mrs. Diosdado is a founding teacher of NEW Academy Canoga Park. She taught kindergarten for six years and has taught first grade for the past four years. Mrs. Diosdado has collaborated with her teacher peers in Drama Club. Mrs. Diosdado has been trained in Thinking Maps through LACOE. Mrs. Diosdado is currently the First Grade Lead Representative.
Ms. Guzmán received a BA in Anthropology from Harvard University after which she earned her California teaching credential through the Los Angeles Unified School District Intern Program. She also holds a Bilingual, Cross-cultural, Language and Academic Development (BCLAD) credential.
Ms. Guzmán taught for several years in Watts and East Hollywood before coming to NEW Academy Canoga Park. She began working at NACP in February of 2013 as an intervention teacher for 4th and 5th grade. In 2013-2014 NACP inaugurated its Language Academy Program and Ms. Guzmán became the founding kindergarten teacher for the program. She continues to help build the program now as a first grade teacher.
Mrs. Emily Diaz graduated in 2008 from University of Michigan, with a Bachelor of Arts in History. She then moved to California and attended California State University, Northridge where she received her Multiple Subject Credential in 2009.
Mrs. Diaz has been a substitute teacher at New Academy Canoga Park and L.A.U.S.D. since 2013. She is excited to become a permanent member of our NACP family. When not teaching, she enjoys reading and spending time with her family.
Ms. Rodriguez graduated from California State University, Northridge with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Music. She returned to California State University, Northridge to earn a Master of Arts Degree in Elementary Education.
Ms. J. Rodriguez began working at NEW Academy Canoga Park in 2007 and has been a first grade teacher ever since. She has served as the Lead Teacher for first grade and has assisted in the organization of several events held at NACP, such as Family Art Night, Dr. Seuss Night, The Multicultural Festival, and Talent Show. Ms. J. Rodriguez assists in leading and organizing the Dancing Dolphins Club and Cooking Club.
