Mrs. Brady Rey has been teaching since 2003. She attended the University of La Verne where she earned a Master of Education, Reading in 2010 and a Bachelor of Arts, Liberal Studies in 2004. She became a Reading and Language Arts Specialist in 2010 and earned a Reading Certificate in 2009 in addition to her receiving her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential (CLAD Emphasis) in 2004.
Mrs. Brady Rey represented at the Family Literacy Conference “Engaging Students with Probable Passages” at the University of La Verne and at Cedargrove Elementary School, “Making Inferences”, in 2009. She also presented to the California Girl Scouts, “THIEVES – It’s Okay to Steal Knowledge” in January 2010.
Ms. De Leon first earned an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts from Los Angeles Trade Tech College in 2006. She then transferred to California State University of Long Beach where she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies and attained a Multiple Subject Credential in 2010. At New Academy Canoga Park, Ms. De Leon is a second grade teacher who is involved in Dancing Dolphins, which is an after school club for K-2nd grade.
Ms. Rojas graduated from UCLA in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Education. In 2017, she completed her Master of Arts Degree in Education in the UCLA Teacher Education Program, where she earned her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential with a bilingual authorization for Spanish instruction.
Ms. Rojas was trained in 2nd-5th grade classrooms at the UCLA Community School, where she completed her student teaching. She is excited to start her second year in 2nd grade at NACP!
Ms. Contreras received her Bachelor’s of Arts from University of California, Riverside. She received her Multiple Teaching Credential from the University of Redlands. Ms. Contreras earned her BCLAD in 2011, after working in Rosemead Unified as the ELD Teacher in Encinita Elementary. She has taught kindergarten and first grade.
Currently, Ms. Contreras is working towards her Master’s in Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. Ms. Contreras is thrilled to be part of the NACP family.
