We are excited to share the wonderful day when the author of CRENSHAW, Katherine Applegate, came to visit our school and see our students perform their interpretive artistic works of the book. In addition to the dance, skit and spoken word poetry – a collaboration between CSUN and NACP – our students partnered with several community organizations to help the homeless, foster youth and stranded animals. We believe in using the arts and our knowledge to help our communities as well as ourselves! Thank you to the NACP teachers, staff and students, Ms. Kelly Spector, Ms. Gould and of course Katherine Applegate for an amazing day! Click here for the video!
