Before School Overview
Program Hours & Arrival
The Before School Program operates from 6:30 AM to the start of the school day. Doors will be open for arrival between 6:30 AM and 6:40 AM. If you arrive after 6:40 AM, please call our program phone number at (747) 363-5866, and a staff member will come to assist you.
Safety & Behavior Expectations
Student safety is our top priority. All students are expected to follow the school’s rules and expectations outlined in the Student–Parent Handbook. We encourage students to demonstrate respect, responsibility, and kindness to help foster a positive and inclusive environment. If a student does not meet these expectations, families will be notified, and the situation will be addressed appropriately based on the severity of the behavior.
Attendance
Consistent attendance plays an important role in the success of our programs at NACP. When there is no waitlist, families are welcome to use the program as needed. If a waitlist is established, an attendance policy will be implemented to ensure that as many families as possible have access to the program.
Families will be informed in advance if and when the attendance policy goes into effect. At that time, students will be encouraged to attend on a regular basis. If a student will be absent, families are asked to notify the program and provide an excuse. Students who accumulate more than 10 absences may be removed from the program to allow space for families on the waitlist.
After School Overview
Program Hours & Arrival
The After School Program operates daily from dismissal to 5:30pm. If any closures occur, families will be notified as soon as possible so that parents may plan accordingly.
Dismissal Procedures
Dismissal begins at 5:30pm and ends at 6:00pm. SPLASH has transitioned to a digital sign-out system that requires a unique parent PIN to release each student. Your family’s assigned PIN is attached to this message. Please share this PIN only with the authorized adults listed on your student’s emergency contact form. Parents may update authorized adults or request a PIN change at any time by contacting the program office.

Attendance
Regular attendance is essential to ensure students receive the full academic, social-emotional, and enrichment benefits of the Afterschool Program. Students are expected to maintain a minimum attendance rate of 90% over the course of the 180-day school year.
Excused Absences: Excused absences include illness, family emergencies, school-related activities, or other approved reasons. Students who fall below an 90% attendance rate may be placed on an Attendance Improvement Plan. The program will work collaboratively with families to identify barriers and provide reasonable support when possible.
Probation and Disenrollment: Continued attendance below 90% after intervention may result in probation or disenrollment to allow program access for students on the waitlist. Families will be notified prior to any disenrollment decision.
Early Release
The following reasons/codes for Early Release give families flexibility for daily Early Release from the program. The program requires a documented reason for Early Release. The following are the specific reasons a student may sign-out prior to the close of the program:
- Participation in school sponsored activities (athletics, band, team sports, Open House, etc.)
- Off-site enrichment programs
- Family emergency
- Medical appointment
- Transportation
- Child accident/injury
- Safety issues (examples: darkness (“Dark 30”), weather, etc.)
- Student health and wellbeing
- Other conditions (state reasons; example: Court Order Mandate (Court Order must be on file)
